A MORNING OF
TEMPLE SILENCE

1st October 2025 | Tokyo

Tokyo, October 1

As morning light filtered through the temple courtyard, guests arrived to the quiet of Zuishō-ji and the warmth of familiar faces from the Tokyo meditation community.

Erkin Bek, Founder of All Here and the World Meditation League, opened the gathering:

“Meditation connects us beyond words.

What we share here today is the essence of that connection.”

— Erkin Bek

Together, everyone entered a period of silent sitting meditation — a moment both deeply personal and profoundly shared, where silence itself became the connection.

Head Priest Furuichi Yoshinobu then offered reflections on practice and presence:

“In today’s world, surrounded by constant information, our minds are easily distracted.

Through meditation, we can regain stability and clarity. All Here’s efforts to integrate technology with meditation
are truly meaningful, and I look forward to seeing this continue.”

— Head Priest Furuichi Yoshinobu, Zuishō-ji Temple

The morning concluded with a live shakuhachi performance by Reison Kuroda — internationally acclaimed master of the Japanese bamboo flute — followed by shared refreshments and quiet conversation, moments where tradition, presence, and friendship naturally intertwined.

“It felt as if the silence itself was alive between us,
a quiet sense of unity before the Challenge.”

— Participant, Tokyo Quantified Meditation Challenge 2025
